Student Population

The student body of approximately 255 women in grades 9-12 commute daily from the tri-state area. First and second generation students from Iran, Russia, and Israel illustrate our commitment to cultural diversity.

Academics

In ninth and tenth grades, courses are offered on an Honors and regular level.  Honors indicates a rigorous course of study which exceeds New York State requirements and enriches the curriculum. Advanced Placement courses may be elected in eleventh and twelfth grades. Within our school, we also house a Special Education program (P’tach).
Grade Point Averages are UNWEIGHTED and UNRANKED.
G.P.A.s are computed be averaging with equal weight the units of study in all Judaic and secular courses (excluding minor subjects).
We grade on a numerical scale of 50-100; 65 designates a passing grade.

Community Service Requirements

Each semester, students are required to fulfill five community service requirements. The requirements include two Internal Opportunities, two External Opportunities, and one Extended Project. Internal Opportunities include programs offered by our school such as a hospital visit, or a trip to a soup kitchen.  External Opportunities involve participating in a community service activity outside of school (for example, assisting at a synagogue or youth program).  The Extended Project calls for students to commit themselves to a community service program on at least four occasions (for example, volunteering at a nursing home, hospice visitations, etc.)

Our high school meets and exceeds New York State Regents standards.
